Who here has received an acceptance to UCSF with prerequisites still pending and if you do, what are they?

I'm a waitlister, but just curious. If a spot opens up for me, I'll only get in if I take A&P II and Calculus-based Physics II over the summer. :(

I would think in state students because of the large number who got in, but maybe not. Because I would also assume more Californian residences apply to UCSF than out of state anyway.

At a Pharmacy Information Day that I went to at UCSF, they said that they have no preference for in-state students. It's all up to your application. :)

i don't think i've gotten anything asking about a security deposit. i got a welcome letter and went to the website to confirm my acceptance. am i missing something? thanks.

You should have gotten an email from Betzebe about a list of things you need to do, including a residency form and a deposit (which is due within 2 weeks).

hmmm you might want to check with James. After you confirm acceptance, they send you an email to confirm your entry. Then for me, a day later, a long email from James welcoming and saying what you have to do like sending the Statement of Legal residence (downloadable on the web), security deposit both due within two weeks from the date of the email.
I'd check that ASAP because it's time sensitive material. I think there will be more stuff to come in the mail, but for now that's it.
Also, I'd start applying for financial aid although they haven't sent the stuff because I read somewhere that you should start applying as soon as you get your acceptance and the forms are available in the financial aid web.

And do they give them an extension for tuition payment deadlines until their financial aid goes through? Housing... that is a darn good question. Hey! Does anyone who's going to UCSF know what they will do about housing or are looking for roomies???

To all the people starting at UCSF next year, congratulations!!! We look forward to seeing you all at orientation and around school. :D

I'm not sure if they're doing this for you guys this year, but last year they started a Yahoogroups for our entering class. This was a great way to start "meeting" our classmates and this is how a lot of people found their roommates.
