Is it a caries excavation bur? Is it used for gross metal removal? Is it for recontouring compostie? Is it for oral surgery/implantology? This is a question posed by my dork mentor and I need an answer please! I have researched it on the net but have had no success. Thanks for reading!

It appears to be a fine carbide finishing bur; probably used for placing bevels on composite preps, or smoothing restorations after placement. Just my guess.

Do not ask me why I bothered to look this up, but here it is...
The Baker Curson burs have an abrasive [tungsten-carbide] surface which leaves a "tongue-smooth" surface when used on cavity margins or restorations.
