I know this isn't the best place to solicit medical opions of any serious nature, but I figure it can't hurt to ask the docs around on these forums if you've seen these symptoms before. My boyfriend has been suffering from dark red blood (not fresh or frothy) in his saliva in the mornings, and sometimes with a little mucous. He's been to the ER and had a chest Xray - no TB or pneumonia. The ER doc sent him to his family doc who thought it could be an infection. My BF then took antibiotics for a week without any improvement. So, he was sent to another doctor who thought it might be stomach related and gave my BF Peptac Liquid. This helped some for the first few days, but the bleeding is now back. There is no pain, no stomach discomfort or problems eating, and he feels healthy aside from this issue. But three doctors later and still no one knows, it's been a month and we're both very worried. :( The last couple days he's developed mouth ulcers, but we don't know if they are related or not, we don't even know what the problem is in the first place!! What do you suggest or propose he do now?

Thanks for reading. I appreciate any support.
