Does anyone know anything about Jefferson's IM Residency?

Do many people go into cardiology following it?

I do not have the exact stats on Jefferson's Fellowship placement. It is considered a strong program and, thus, you should be able to get a Cardiology Fellowship from Jeff so long as you play the game well. By this, I mean get involved in research and network as best you can. Jeff, while excellent, is still considered a bit below the elite programs (Penn for example, since it's in the same city). Nonetheless, I'd imagine the Cards placement from Jeff's IM program is quite strong, with regards to
i. Percent matched and
ii. Where they matched (though this part is probably a little less strong, just b/c the elite Cards programs are ultra-competitive)

It's been a while, but from what I recall during interview season, Jeff seemed to be relatively strong in cards, there are a lot of prominent cards folks in the history of Jefferson....

From the prelim interview trail I remember Jeff as having a very good fellowship placement rate for cardiology (as in virtually all who wanted one got one). It is a more clinically oriented place than Penn which has even more stellar fellowship matches.
