I have applied to seven DO programs in the Northeastern region. I researched the different programs of these schools and have come across the terms "PROBELM BASED LEARNING'" and also "HARVEY" technology. Could someone please explain what these are? I have a general idea but really need a strong clarification of each. Also, any chance these topics may come up in an interview, if you remember? Thanks for your help.

PBL is based on students initiation to learn. Instead of large classroom lectures, you will have small group discussion format. Basically, your preceptor will present a topic and the students are require to search for answers.

"Harvey"? Are you talking about the Harvey that produce real heart sound and pulses?
We have a " Harvey" at NOVA and it is a great tool to learn about cardiology.
