I am in a bit of a bind. I have been waitlisted to med school, and I need a job. There is a research job fair coming up, I really want to go down and try for a position, but I don't want to surprise them by leaving suddenly if I get a spot.

Has anyone applied for summer only positions that became permanent?

How do I mention my situation to the PI without blowing my chance at a job?
