Why NOT study Today?
Some people feel you should use the time to "re-charge."
Others want to study what they know (or don't know).
If you studied the day before you took practice exams, why not study that same way?
The whole argument is similar to the Kaplan's stupid "don't drink caffeine" etc. I think it's beneficial to have about half a coke (or a cup of tea, or half cup of coffee) before each section. That amount of caffeine really isn't enough to make you "jumpy."
It's also good if you get a headache after a section. Taking a tylenol/advil with a little caffeine goes a long way (the whole "extra strength for migraines" etc, has the exact same ingredients, except they add caffeine).
Good luck everyone.

im taking asprin, cause ive been taking it since the beginning of march... might as well finish the few pills left :p not even in med school and im already chemically dependant. i plan on doing a verbal section today and reviewing my old exams. ill probably finish by 1 or 2 to give me plenty of time to recharge. this is just a personal thing. i dont find myself burnt out now. but if you feel really tired, like you jsut cant do it anymore (we've all been there), then dont even touch the material today!
oh yea make sure you dont drink so much that you need to go pee half way through the sections. wanting to go pee and taking the mcat dont mix

Me I am a crammer I have read the threads and thought about studying for the last six months but between work and school not a chance. So I took the two days off before the test had tons of caffeine and bam here I am on a rant that I forgot what was about. Note to self tone down caffeine intake on test day. Well back to studying in any case. I have always had lots of success studying in this fashion it is what works for me. Much love to the MCATers out there.

Personally I'd do some light reading. Read the economist or something recreationally. Personally, drinking coffee during the test day will make me use the bathroom, thus wasting value time; I prefer No-Doze caffinee pills, except don't use those unless you've tried them beforehand to know your own body's response, everybody's different.
