hi guys...i just got accepted to University of Florida's St pete campus.....i just wanted to know how it was over there.....is there any student-professor interaction....how about student-student interaction....since it is a satellite campus, is it true that majority of the students that go there are married, have kids or are commited to family. I am an outgoing person and I want to make the most of my pharmacy education...I had asked for the gainesville campus but got the St Pete one instead.....I wouldnt have had a problem in Gainesville coz i know alot of people there and its the main campus...but St Pete sounds a little laid back and boring....Im just trying to figure out if I will fit in or if i will be by myself (while other students are at home with their wife and kids....any info would be appreciated...thanks

From what I heard, the St Petersburg campus is much more challenging than the main campus, you won't get bored at all!! And grades are much more higher than those at the main campus, that's a fact.
And it seems to me that Gainesville is much more boring since there is really nothing to do around besides studying...
So don't worry that much, you'll be enjoying attending the satellite campus.

I got your PM and sent you an email. For anyone else who is curious: there are lots of young students, yes you interact with your preceptors on campus, we have pharmacy clubs, parties, etc. It's a real campus. We have a UF pharmacy building, a UF dental building, a library, computer work area, dedicated study areas, a deli with Starbucks, etc.

Ya, that's all there is to do in Gainesville, study. You really seem to know what you're talking about.
