Apparently some of the places I'm applying to require a physical done within the last year, as well as immunizations, my step one score, AND a letter of recomendation. So I have set up an appt for the school doctor to see me and since I'm a new patient, I need to bring my insurance card, and my old records. Or they may not see me.
This whole process is bulls%^t.

Yeah, you wouldn't believe some of the things I've been asked to send in. Emory wants to know every single health problem you've ever had. OHSU wants to know if you've ever been physically, verbally or sexually abused, and what sort of catastrophic events you've experienced in your life. They also wanted a recommendation letter from my own program and an essay explaining why I wanted to go there. I'm guessing that "it's pretty like Seattle and the program is shorter" isn't really what they want to hear.
I didn't end up applying to either place for an away, but I did look at their applications.

I did an away at OHSU in pediatrics back in August and they didn't ask for a rec letter or an essay... (but maybe they changed their requirements or you were applying to a more selective rotation??)
