Has anyone done an EM rotation in NYC or know of any information about the programs? I want to do an away rotation there but don't know much about the schools.

SUNY Downstate is affliated with Kings County Hospital - its right across the street and is one of the busiest major trauma center in the country. Its probably the best place in the city to learn emergency medicine - awesome cases and they let you do a lot of stuff on your own, the autonomy is a great learning experience and will help you in residency. aknaterey 04-27-2006, 09:15 PM NYU is affliated with Bellvue. Though Kings County is a good one too, Bellvue sees all kinds of patients as well. You'll definitly see your fair share of trauma. And there's a good Peds ED as well that I think is part of the rotation. |
