OKay so I took the April MCAT and am patiently awaiting results. I need suggestions on what steps to take now.

So far I'm thinking I need to work on a personal statement, and have that ready as soon as scores are released. Also, I know I need to get transcripts so I can fill in all my grades for AMCAS. (Do you then send official transcripts to the schools during secondary applications?, or do you send them to AMCAS). I'm planning on getting some more volunteering/shadowing in as well.

Beyond this, what should I be doing?

Def. work on your PS. You send the transcripts to AMCAS. (Register and send once this semester's grades are official).

Get your LORs together.

Perhaps it goes without saying, but you should also figure out which schools to apply to (the MSAR would no doubt help with that) and start looking at secondary application questions (via SDN) to get a jump start on those too!
