What does everybody think about the trends in M/F ratio for optometry school entering classes over the past few years? It doesn't seem to be quite the same as the trends seen in Dental or Medical school recently...any idea why might that be? The optometrist I shadowed (female) said that it's very easy to go part-time, which is why many women go for optometry since they would want to have more time with their children.
