Hi,
I am international student getting my BS degree in US school. I am a junior year as Pre-dental. I hope that any of you could tell me what is the possibility or percentage that international students can get in Dental school in US? (because I know for Medical school international student has very slow chance to be accepted and it only works with private school).

Hey diemchau

I think there are quite a few private schools that accept international students, provided you have a competitive GPA (eg. mid 3s and up) and DAT score (in the 20s). You can't, of course, apply to the State dental schools because you have to be either a permanent resident or a US citizen. My advice to you now is to get as high a GPA as you can. You should post the above queries in the "Pre-Dental" forum as I'm sure more people there will be able to help you with your questions. This is the "International Dental" forum and it's for the people who have obtained a dental degree outside of North America and who want to get the qualifications necessary in order to practise dentistry in North America. Good luck !!!!

I am an international student and I got accepted to UCSF. Usually it's harder to get into state schools. But you never know.
You also need to apply more dental schools just to be safe. I applied to almost 15. Hope this helps.

No, absolutely not. Just focus on doing well on the exam.
