Hi everyone,

I am starting residency in med-peds and the nature of the beast at my program is this...because we are training in two programs we cannot go to the BLS recertification course so we have to renew our BLS stuff before we go to orientation...does anyone know where I can get recertified for free? All of the hospitals I have called around (given to me by the AHA) are not offering the course until June 20something. Orientation starts June 13th in another state. Any thoughts?

Thanks for all the help

Contact your local Red Cross office. They have classes all the time and may be able to help you out on that matter.

I had to recently re-take ACLS on my own before starting my program and even though I can't tell you of any free training, I will tell you to check with your program first. My program will reimburse me out of my book money even though I am taking the course before my official start date. You night be able to get it for free after all.
