Could someone please confirm the scenario below:....
FGMs/IMGs can submit their applications using ERAS system (when diff programs download your app) AS LONG AS HAVE TAKEN THE STEP 2CS. They could get interview calls ... the trick is that it would take couple of months to get the interview call and IN THE MEAN TIME FGs/IMGs can get their Step 2-CS scores and then they can get the ECFMG cert right away and hopefuly they can go to the interview with Step 2-CC scores and the ECFMG cert.
By doing the above IMGs/FMGs will be in the pool for match right at the begining (i-e Sept 1st) instead of Dec 31st thing. I hope i did not confuse anyone. please do reply. Thanks!!

You do not need to be ECFMG certified to start using ERAS system. You can apply without Step 2 CS or ECFMG certificate. Though there is a chance you may not receive as many interview calls as another IMG who is certified..
I am not sure what you mean by "be in the pool for match right at the beginning instead of Dec 31st thing." If you are talking about pre-match, yes, you will have a better chance of getting an offer for a pre-match with ECFMG certificate.. but as I said, it is not essential to have that to apply..
