Hello everybody,
This forum has been very helpful in preparing for the part 1 exam which i would be taking towards the end of this month. However i am very tensed about it. I have been doing the previous year question papers and i have been scoring about 70 to 75% in anat, biochem-physio and micro-patho and about 87 to 90% in dental anatomy. However, in some of the question papers i found biochem-physio li'l challenging and could only get about 63-65% correct. Can anybody please tell me how good ( or bad) are these scores. I mean like, how would these compare to my final score? Those of you who have given the exam and have your scores, please let me know how your scores compared to the previous year question paper scores. I am really tensed about my exam and would like to know where i stand. Please help
Thanks

Hi
Don't compare these scores with the one u r going to get in finals. Its just a practice .the ques u r going to ans in exam will be based on what u 've read .So don't be tensed .Try to grab as much as u can

If you check the sticky "FAQ" at the top of the forum you would find a link called "NBDPart I 1998", when you open it , there is a table that shows the raw and actual score for each percentage of correct answers... (it is for 1998 but I think it gives you a good idea what to expect). Hope this info helps...

Thank you.. it seems that score conversions have not changed too much since 1998. I took the exam in Mar '06 and did a 'guesstimate' of my raw scores. My standard scores according to this chart and and the ones I actually received are reasonably similar.
