I have been studying QR using the Kaplan Blue book and a few other sources and I just took the first Kaplan QR subject test...25 questions in 30 minutes. But they were all time consuming word problems! Took me almost 40-45 minutes and a lot of them were very abstract. Can anyone who has taken the DAT please tell me that the problems on the real thing are not like that? I find TopScore QR easy, DAT Acheiver slightly more difficult, and this Kaplan QR word problem test downright aggravating...Any input would be appreciated.

Thank you.

real DAT is more like DATaciever and TopScore.
Do not worry, the problems on real DAT are not like Kaplan's, I had the same feeling about them, so I just gave up going them after some time, and bought TopScore and achiever.

kaplan tend to divide the tests by type. if you look at the other practice tests then you will see subject tests without word problems. i mean, one sample test just for word problems, another section just for algebra... topscore or datachiver or real dat mix word problems with trig and algebra

Thanks for the post...yeah I figured that out after taking a few more tests...I'm doing the Kaplan QR tests anyway to get my brain going again. I've been out of school for a year and I swear my brain has shrunk from lack of use!
