I am a College Transfer student and I have a few choices for finishing up my undergrad. After which I want to transfer into a Pharmacy School. I got into UCSD Biochemistry
UCI "
UCSB "
UCLA "

However, UCSanDiego will be the hardest to do best because it's the most competitive and UCSanta Barbara would the easiest to do well, however isn't ranked as high.

Now would it better to go to a harder/more prestigious school and possibly face lower grades, or a slightly "easier" school and do better? Which would Pharmacy Schools look at more?

I don't understand why people care about going to the "#1 school". If they can give you a PharmD degree, it's good enough.

not many schools that i have heard of look at where you got your degree, they only look at your grades. go where you feel you will fit in the best and be the happiest, and your grades will reflect that. those are all good schools so if you are a well-rounded applicant when the time comes you should be ok.

it will not matter 99.9% of the time ... you can go to the univ. of the boonies and they won't care just as long as it's accredited. maybe if they have to decide between two identical scoring people

regarding ucsd pharm:
a good percentage of their pharm class comes from ucsd undergrad - i don't know if it's because lots of ucsd people apply or what, but the percentage is pretty high compared to undergrads from different schools.

regarding usc and ucsf pharm:
the same can be said for ucla undergrads. there's lots of them at usc and ucsf (particularly usc).

also, i would have thought that ucla biochem would have been more competitive than ucsd, but that's just my opinion...

He's talkin about undergrad schools. And between UCI, UCLA, UCSB, and UCSD there is not much difference. The large majority of people at USC pharmacy are from UCI and UCLA. But they are all similarly ranked in the grand scheme of things (I believe all are still in about the top 13 or 14 public schools in the country, and all are in the top50 overall schools). So yeah, even though you may have heard UCSD undergrad is really competitive or prestigious or something, it's likely not enough to make much of a difference when compared to one of the other 3.
