I'm moving out to USN hopefully and holding a 4.0 GPA. I reallly looked all over the net but i don't see any kind of scholarships whatsoever that i can apply since they all require some type of essay and since i don't like to write essays, i'm not so intersted in them. I called my school and they said that you can qualify for $1000 and thats a maybe :thumbdown . But after all this hardship i think i deserve more. :eek: Can anyone help? I saw that someone asked a similar Q and he was replied that this is repeat. But i want to get something w/ my 4.0 can ideas? plz help!

I think if someone was looking over your application and they knew anything about pharmacy schools they would wonder why you chose USN over other more developed pharmacy schools. I am not knocking USN, I mean I am not going to the most highly honored school either. I am just saying, if you think you are so deservant of scholarships because of your 4.0 then why don't you want to go to a school that prides itself in academia and research? Those schools tend to have more scholarships anyways.

Besides most scholarships are geared to certain segments. Like african american, people with one kidney, woman, or whatever. So if your a WASP male... and don't fall into any special categories then your choices are very limited.

Congrats on your acceptance. :)
I believe there are several people who are in the same situation as you are and there's not enough scholarship money to go around to everyone with a 4.0 GPA. Maybe you should opt to apply for those scholarships. It does take time to write those essays, but it may be well worth it in the end.

Look at the COP website for your school. Our website lists scholarships available for students. They are all "need based", so you have to be poor.
