People will always say "pharmacy is not the major for you, bla bla bla bla." Hahha i was even once told "college is not for you!"

If this ever happens to any of you guys, don't feel discourage because people say that so you would fail. If more people get discourage, then there would be less applicants for pharm school and more acceptance. Almost every week people at my school would be discouraging other people just to get them to change their majors.
It really sucks, but its competition. So if anyone who says pharmacy, medicine, or whatever is not for u, just say "afraid that i will take your spot in the admission process."

Actually, it's not just the applicants who can be discouraging. When I was getting ready to apply, a professor told me that I would not get accepted, solely on the fact that I will not have earned a Bachelor's degree by the time I get into pharm school, especially in California, where a BS degree would make an applicant more competitive. He said that I should wait until I get my degree before I apply. Luckily I didn't listen to him. :) Keep up your status! You'll do fine. Apply to lots of schools to broden your chances. Best wishes! :luck:

You have to be somewhat realistic through this process so you don't get your heart completely broken, but I agree that you shouldn't give up. If this is really what you want to do and you make it clear in your personal statement, interview, volunteering/work, etc. a school might see that and see if you are right for them. I'm going to admit something even though it was a major blow to my ego: I wasn't even invited to an interview at my back up school. I saw people with lower stats (gpa and PACT) interview and get in. You never know what the school is looking for in their total package of a class. You might just be that person that fits in a particular niche. My advice is to be realistic (if you stats are really low it is going to be that much harder and maybe not possible that year) but make your application really shine. Don't make excuses for your short comings and make them see that you are always trying to improve. You never know :) .
