As class president I was given a free copy of the Stax by the Stax people. I also bought a copy of the Decks.
The Decks were very helpful. The Stax were not worth the paper they were printed on. I only read about 20 cards in the Stax and noticed 5 major errors. Luckily I knew these were errors so I didn't end up learning the wrong information. Also, Stax claims superiority due to their color images, but I was disappointed to find out that the images are 95% clipart added to the cards to make them look nice, while adding no education value. For example, the biochem cards have a picture of an Erlenmeyer flask with a pretty blue liquid in it. That really helps you learn doesn't it.
I read the entire set of Decks front and back and only noticed a couple of major error in the whole set. The information in the Decks was relevant and well organized. They prepared me for most of the material that was on my actual exam.
