Hi, just out of curiosity...can someone give me an approx. number of patients an optometrist sees in a day?

in addition, what would be an average optometrists' daily revenue?

thanks.

the Dr.I worked for was next to a lenscrafters. On a busy day he could easily see around 25 patients. On average though i'd say about 15 patients/day. He usually grossed around 1500-2000 per day.

high end private pratice = 8 full exams, 8 "checks" (for cl's or rx checks)

retial (lc and wm) = 12-20 depending on how busy

revenue depends on location, but previous poster sounds about right

I work in my family pracitce right now. We have one doctor per day and see patients every 15 mins (does not matter if exam or check) We do squeeze some people in and we work from 9-5 or 9-730(thurs only)...So normally we get about 20-25 patients per day. We also have a dispensary so we are always busy with people coming in to look at frames. Also we gain more revenue from contact lens wearers who pick up a new supply of contacts on a 6month basis. We gross around 3000 per day on average.
