I've read several places that say it occurs only in tetra formation during Meiosis Prophase I. Other places suggest it happens in Meiosis Metaphase. I originally thought metaphase. Any definite answer here?

Banana Berry 07-26-2006, 11:50 AM I had this question on real DAT,too.. blankguy 07-26-2006, 09:33 PM Prophase I Sorry can help in joining the answer chorus :D djeffreyt 07-26-2006, 09:56 PM leptotene zygotene pachytene diplotene diakinesis (in prophase I) I wouldn't worry about these substages...the DAt won't test on them unless they suddenly decided last week to make the test 10000% harder. Just remember that Crossing Over occurs in Prophase I of meiosis, and you be fine...just watch out for the trick answer: c) on late night TV with John Edwards this is a trick aswer...do not fall for it. |
