Dear IM people,

I posted this question in the general forum, but got no response. I am hoping that someone here who knows ERAS well can help me...

I have already asked for my letters of recommendation and signed the release of my transcript for my medical school. I have not given the school a picture to upload. I was wondering whether or not ERAS will show when these things have been placed into the system. Right now, the LOR section just has a place for the names of the letter writers and I do not see a place in ERAS where it discusses the status of the photo or the transcript.

Will the system ever show me when these things are in? Or do I have to constantly ask my school whether they've put these things in? If anyone who knows the answer or who has been through the process could reply, I would really appreciate it. Thank you.

LF

If I recall correctly, you'll be able to see the LOR and photo once they are uploaded, so you shouldn't have to keep bugging your school. You will then go in and manually assign them to each program to which you are applying.

Thanks for the reply. ERAS already lets me go in and assign letters to programs, but it does not say whether they have been uploaded. I hope that once they get in there, it will show that the photo, transcript, and LORs are in the system.

Thanks again.

If you go to this we site: https://services.aamc.org/eras/adts2007/index.cfm
and log in with your MyEras password and press the "My Uploaded Documents" section, you will be able to see what documents have been uploaded. However, your photo and your LoRs won't show up until you have applied to at least one program, and designated the LoR in question (or the photo) to at least one program. Very frustrating, really! Does anyone know why that is, by the way?

ADTS will also tell you when programs have downloaded your application.

Good luck!

Thanks a million. This is exactly what I was looking for...especially since I had not seen nor heard of that site before.

One more quick question. My transcript has been uploaded, but will it be updated later in the process? I finished my SubI last month and know that the grade won't be on the transcript that is in there right now. It would be nice to have the most updated transcript later on.

Thanks again.
