What is everyone's opinion of geriatrics? My school pushes it hard (a whole 2 year theme in geri). I actually had a really good experience where they sent us to a really nice huge facility (assisted living, nursing home, and everything). So now I am thinking more about it.

What does everyone think about the future for a geriatric specialist? What about job opportunities, compensating, job satisfaction, working conditions, etc.

alot of people have qualms with geriatrics because of compensation. most of these patients are on medicare and reimbursements are constantly on the decline. that being said...if you love it, don't worry about money. you'll still have more than enough to be comfortable.
