i am applying for the preliminary yr......since i am interested in radio i am applying for radio also.Now my doubt is whether i need to have 2 personal statements,one for radio n one for prelim or will the radio personal statement be sufficient for prelim.
if i prepare a personal statement for prelim,shd i directly say i am interested in radiology or say i am interested in medicine
kindly help me guys......its urgent

I think you need to have two personal statements; one for each one. However, at our school they told us the dean's letter can only be submitted once so if you want to do apply to more than one field it will be written more generically to work for both interviews. I hope this helps!

if you're just applying to preliminary internal medicine years, that will be known to the residency program. if you write a personal statement saying that you want to go into medicine yet are only applying to prelim rather than categorical, don't you think that will look a little odd? they know people need just one year of training in prelim years--just explain why you think it will provide you with the clinical base you need for your radiology practice
