Here are my scores:
PAT 15(44.4%)
QR 18:mad:
RC 19
Bio 18
Chem 27 (100%)
Orgo 20
AA 20
TA 21

I am so mad about the QR (as I was expecting 30), and the PAT as I was expecting at least 17.
Do I have a chance, any chance of making it to dental school. I applied to:
Howard (#1 choice), Meharry (#2 choice), Temple, and UMDNJ.
FYI: I am a minority

Those are some really good scores. Goodjob. I don't think PAT will hurt you that much. I think you will be fine since some schools don't care for PAT as much. how is your gpa?

My GPA is the average GPA matriculated in Howard in 2002, and about close to Meharry. My GPA is not great but My predental GPA is good infact it is somewhere around 3.6, But my overall is nowhere close. I am a biochem major graduating in December 2006, I took so many hard upper level chemistryand Biochemistry courses that I got C's on. what do yo think?

i had the same concern. i took the dat today, and these were my results:
----
PA: 16 :(((((( [not good time management]
QR: 18
RC: 22
B: 20
GC: 19
OC: 18
TS: 19
AA: 19
----
BCP: 3.79
Cumulative: 3.82

they're not horrible scores and my GPA is good, i just wish i could have done better, at least in PA.

Chandler44, I don't think You will have ANY problem getting to LOTS of dental schools. Your GPA is just amazing, and your DAT is pretty good. I am worried because my overall GPA is not good for most schools, to make matters worse I thought I will bomb the DAT but unfortunatly it is a disaster.
( can I borrow your GPA for a few weeks:D )

Thanks for the kind words. I am gonna call the admissions office for the schools and ask them about the situation.

May I know your RC topics please? Thanks!

RC: topic: Genes and Cancer: this passage was about the genes that cause cells to be carcegonic (spelling). It talks about the research done and the results they found was that proto oncogens cause normal cells to be cancer causing. .... it goes on and on
Topic 2: Stock: this passage was about the principles that govern stock market. Know terms like Market value ratio, Market risk ratio, dividends... just go through the theories about the stock market.
Topic 3: Autonomic nervous system:
As you can imagine this was just intro to Autonomic nervous system. NOTE: you can't answer most of the questions with out taking a peak at the passage.
But I will say if you make sure you read about this topic before hand, you can get all the questions right.
I hope that answers you questions. good luck:luck:

thanks for the encouraging words, das. we're in the same major, bro :). yeah, my 16 correlated to a 37.4% in the pat... even though yours score was lower than mine, you probably had a tougher exam [though i have really no idea how they rank percentiles, you'd imagine tests on the same day would have the same ranking......]. the pat was one area that i did not spend enough time on, and it showed by the amount of questions i had left to guess with one minute to go [about ten questions or so]. my advice for those who haven't taken it would be to practice, practice, practice. get really good on cube counting, and try your best with angle ranking.

good luck with interviews, das... i'm sure you'll get some
