Hello my beautiful awesome friends,

As you may all know, I took my DAT today. Well for the second time. The reason for my retook was my RCT and QRT which were low last time I took this test.
I have to admit, there is actually an easy version and a hard version of this test. Taking this test twice, proved this to me.

here are my scores from the first time
AA/TS/PAT/OC/GC/bio/RC/QR
19/20/19/23/21/19/15/15

second time was overall a lot better, except that my RCT stayed the same

AA: 20 (86.1)
TS: 22 (96.6)
PAT:21 (93.1)
OC: 23 ( 93.9)
GC: 22 (92.0)
Bio: 22 (96.5)
RC: 15:( no need to mention the percentile!!!
QR: 18 (74.6)

now my overall impression of the test.

Bio: Random, I had at least 3 question that was related to plants. Read on the previous posts, chances are, a lot of them show up. I had 2-3 classification stuff, others included hormons and things you know. One question was about ecology of animal courtship ( I had no idea what that was)

Gchem: definately easier than kaplan, topscore and achiever. I dont' know what I missed, probably finding the empirical formula of something.

OC: I thought Ochem was harder than last time I took the test. basically I came to my break feeling that I am getting an 18 on total sciences. I thought my overall total sciences section was hard. I had to guess two of the ochem question, one a reaction I had not seen before and the other was some kind of lab question (how to prevent aldehyde mixing with a carboxylic acid  )

RCT: I had the comet passage, brain imaging and the glutamate receptor one. I thought they were easy and straight forward, but I guess I found all the wrong answers instead of the right ones:p

QRT: Lots of algebra with word problems that you know how to do if you read it fast and careful once. I know I didn't do that great in this section, but I actually thought I did a lot better. Happy still, at least improved from the first time.

PAT: Very easy. what really made me happy on key-hole was the fact that, almost in every qeustion, only one view was presented; basically less work to find out which projection it is. TFE: it was pretty easy, about 4-5 of them was just a hole from top or something very simple and you had to guess the other. Angles: 3-4 not obvious, I'm sure I missed those. My advice is to check the trend of your choice before you pick them ( what I means is that sometimes it does not work just to find the smaller and larger to pick the answer). Hole punch: 2 folds I had to actually do it on scratch paper. but others were fair. Lots of half folds ( take a paper and instead of folding it all the way on top of the other side, leave a little space between the edge of the two, okay sorry I can't explain like this, it was easy though) pattern folding, I kind of ran out of time, I had only 8 min when I got to this section, but it's fair, you can do it (ofcourse if you get my version):)

thanks to those of you who kept me motivated, and good luck to those of you that are taking this test very soon.
I would be happy to answer any questions.

btw, you guys think I will be okay with this same exact RCT score as last time? I am applying to 25 schools ( i already rejected myself from UOP, cuz they require a 20+ on RCT ):p

i don't have any friends :( ... No I realy don't know any other dentisits except those that have already graduated...so they would have taken the DAT at least 5-7 years ago. Sorry...
