The top programs that I always hear mentioned are: Johns Hopkins, University of Washington, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, University of Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center and Columbia Presbyterian.

I am sure that other folks would argue with this list but in terms of research, these are the places that are putting out the papers that I am reading year in and year out.

There are 45 or so programs out there and none of them are poor places to train.
