How hard is it to get into an Army AEGD? I've got a loooong way to go before I get to that point, but how competitive is it to get into a 1 year program? Do you put in preferences for which of the bases you want to do the AEGD at? I saw the list of the bases that offer 1 year & 2 year AEGD's so I'm aware that not all of them offer them. So how difficult are these things to get?

Its not all that difficult. Not everyone who applies gets a spot but probably something like 75% of those who apply do get a spot. You put your preferences in but I don't even understand how they selected who went to which program.

I'm the same as Utes, I have a long way to go but I want to make sure I keep my grades up to the point where I can do a 1-yr. AEGD if I choose (and my wife lets me!) What kind of grades/scores do I need? Or should I just get through school and not worry about it?
