If you have a great understanding of your sciences, you are a good test taker and you know the kaplan blue book by heart, then maybe, but I would recommend you use a variety of materials to prepare. The DAT is an important part of your application so you want to make sure you do as well as you can. At the very least, you should also get the Top Score DAT CD (http://www.amazon.com/dp/0967275709?tag=dentalstudent-20&camp=14573&creative=327641&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=0967275709&adid=07XJN9WGS79BN1RMD6N6&) as it will give you a more accurate set of practice tests to judge your preparedness for the real DAT.

Other suggests are to get the Schaum's Outlines for Biology (http://www.amazon.com/dp/0070224056?tag=dentalstudent-20&camp=14573&creative=327641&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=0070224056&adid=15EKFBD0B2VV57VM6BF8&), Chemistry (http://www.amazon.com/dp/0070537097?tag=dentalstudent-20&camp=14573&creative=327641&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=0070537097&adid=0AMYNJXVXQ4TSNB7QEPJ&), and/or Organic Chemistry (http://www.amazon.com/dp/007134165X?tag=dentalstudent-20&camp=14573&creative=327641&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=007134165X&adid=16C538D0VZXVE68A2PPV&) if you need help in the sciences. Or you can try the MCAT Examkracker's (http://www.amazon.com/dp/1893858375?tag=dentalstudent-20&camp=14573&creative=327641&linkCode=as1&creativeASIN=1893858375&adid=183SNQYSZSH19Y93NNMG&) series of books. Its geared toward the MCAT, but it is all still relevant.

If you are willing to spend a little more, the Kaplan DAT class (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=NaOkB0CLDB0&offerid=47491.10000020&type=3&subid=0) and DAT Destroyer (http://www.orgoman.com/datdestroyer.html) are worth looking into.

Here are my scores studying only from the Kaplan book.
PA 20 - DAT harder than book
QR 23
RC 21
BIO 22 - DAT easier than book
GC 19
OC 20
TS 20
AA 21

So almost 20+ across the board just slacked in the GC.

It really all depends...

If you know your orgo, chem, bio, etc from college and your are doing well on practice exams then kaplan maybe all that you need.

However most people dont remember much if anything ( I couldnt remember what a carbonyl group was). The destroyer has helped me come along way...
