I posted this in the USMLE section but maybe I will be able to get a response here.

Is there a website out there that shows a ranking of what the average student score was from each Med school? Both US and international.

As far as I know, scores are only released to the schools, and not all schools decide to release their averages. At best, you can get an incomplete list

If this were available, I'm thinking that USN&WR would put it in their ranking calculation.

There is no such list. Most reports of school averages are through word of mouth and therefore should be taken with a grain of salt.

Yes. Every school I went to was allegedly 1stddev above the mean or something. Got concerns about Cornell PBL? Not to worry, they're a stddev above! Think Emory's block testing blows? It's clearly helping its students on the boards because they're +1sd! Duke students must be missing out on basic science by dropping like 10 months of class... yet they're still ... 1sd above!

Totally unverifiable and probably apocryphal. Almost as useless as the "% of students who matched into top 3 choices" stat they're not supposed to tell you.

Yeah I love that stat, anybody out there have a school with less than 70% getting one of their top three?

Sadly, that was my experience as well. There's a certain amount of puffery out there.

US medical schools--where all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average

All but one could be above average if that one child was indeed very deficient.

So, perhaps many med schools can be 1sd above the mean if there are sufficent numbers of FMG's etc who do very poorly. Although I was still inclined to disbelieve the claims of med schools when I was interviewing.

The averages are based on US Grads scores - so FMGs are just kinda stuck in there after the fact.

I did hear that they are actually going to raise passing this year...

Website does not exist. Many schools will post their individual performance compared to other schools but there is no one website that posts scores from all schools.

Closing thread as this is a duplicate.
