There really hasn't been any input from current attending students fromt this school. Could current students please give input on this school. what they see as negatives what they see as positive etc. Your opinions, comments all are taken.
thanks

u r from NY right. NYCPM is a good school. Plus if u r not from Cali why do u wanna go there and end up living so expensive life. I have some of my family in SF. And they said that its pretty expensive and traffic is a mess. tats why i dropped my plans for Cali.

hey cool...I am just curious about the California College as I do not hear much recent news about it. Some people on here complained and stuff a few years back and I know it moved in with the nursing school. I would just like more information on it. I understand Oakland is kind of a rough area but I will have to go there and see for myself. Hopefully, some current students or interviewees can elaborate.
I am going to do a summer pre-matriculation program at NYCPM to get a better feel to it. Granted, its close to long island but I would love to get out of New York. I lived on Long Island all my life and go to school upstate (sucks). I am doing a year abroad in France right now and then finishing up my senior year starting next fall (applying pod class of 2012). I'm going to apply to all of the schools but my tops are Scholl, AZPOD, DMU, and Temple. I am looking at OCPM as well because they will be in the new facilites next year. DMU appears to be a great school and the cost of living is a hell of a lot better than NY (Long Island prices suck almost as bad or worse than NYC). I would like a school with a real campus atmosphere and with a connection to an MD or DO school. I have a pretty good GPA (3.7) but have yet to take the MCAT. Hopefully, I can do well on it and get a few choices of schools for next year!

I have a friend at the cali school. He likes it a lot. A couple of years ago the cali school had lots of problems. But now they are on track to becoming better. My friend told me they fired a bunch of professors there to hire better ones. They are also getting stricter on their admissions to attract better students. My friend actually learned how to do an ingrown toenail his first year and did one under supervision there. So the cali school seems to be big on clinical experience. But like I said, they are working out kinks in the system and are on their way to being great again.

CSPM does brag alot about how their students have the earliest exposure out of the other schools

At first i thought the early clinical experience would be cool but then I thought about it a bit and realized that the first two years are to get you ready for boards. The early clinical experience is fine and all but what is there first time board pass rate? I dont know what it was this year but I know in years past it hasnt been that high. Just a thought.
