View Full Version : My first acceptance
Docnids 11-02-2006, 02:14 PM :)
I knew one day my sun will rise. Today is THE DAY. Happiest day of my life.
It has been almosttwo years since my struggle to get this first letter . I had more than 12rejection letters (i still have those envelopes with me). I have had the most sleepless nights of my life when i planned to retake my part 1 .After a score of 89 it was difficult . I always had this tension "wot if I scored less".
But I never lost my hope and faith in god. And today with this letter in my hand I have tears of joyin my eyes. I made many good friends in this long run. And today is the day to thanks them and to fellow sdn members Nothing would have been possible without your help.
It can take you years of hard work, but believe me ..... one day is just your day .......... and it will come.... till then just keep hoping. Never loose your faith Bcoz All is possible

Congratulations again!
Docnids 11-02-2006, 02:41 PM Thank you elto, sweetgal and drabc.
I got accepted in TUFTs .
Elto dont worry, your day will come soon.
Sweetgal regarding my preparation, i retook my exam in august. I studied for 2 months for more than 14hrs daily. I studied kaplan and dental decks mainly and solved the papers.
I did referred usmle first aid, lippincotts and brs pathology and physiology. But a week before exam i remembered nothing. So my suggestion is focus on kaplan and dental decks and you should be fine.
good luck

hi docnids,
congratulations,i am so happy for you, i know how u feel today, coz i felt the same way i go tmy first acceptance after a year and a half long struggle, it was a year and half but felt like 10 years..............so i know how u feel exactly. i hope all those still struggling also get to see this day very soon.........
so u had 89 in first attempt?i dunt know why you had to retake with 89, it is just a mark less than 90.........but hats off to you for your hard work n high spirits, i was too depressed after 85 n couldnt muster enough courage to retake until i got in UIC..........all the best..way to go
