Hi guys! I thought those of you who are pre-optometry might like to see what a first year schedule looks like.

So, here's the first semester schedule at UHCO. (It just came in the mail today) My class is split into four groups for labs and I'm in group A. So, that's the schedule that's posted here.

9-10 Vision Science I
10-11 Optics I
11-12 Neuroanatomy
12-1 LUNCH !! (whoo hoo!)
1-4 Optics I lab
4-7 Neuro. lab


TUESDAY
9-10 Human Anatomy
10-11 Optometry I

1-4 Vision Science lab

WEDNESDAY
9-10 Vision Science I
10-11 Optics I

THURSDAY
mornings til noon same as Tuesday

mornings til noon same as Monday and Wednesday

TOTAL CREDITS : 20 !!!

I lucked out because I don't have any 8 a.m. labs!!! And if anyone's wondering about those Mon. and Wed. exams, well, we actually have exams (or quizzes, I don't really know yet) on those days each week to keep us on top of things. I'm not sure if these exam days are in addition to in-lecture exams that we might have.

So this is my 20.25 unit schedule for fall quarter, yes QUARTER!!

wow.. that's quite a quarter. Do y'all have a clinical lab that first quarter?

It's strange how different the curriculums are. Is Visual Psychophysics the same as Vision Science. My guess is yes.. it just sounds fancier.

Looks like we're both in for some work!!

We do have a clinical lab fall quarter, but it hasn't been scheduled yet. It'll only be an hour a week.

Goodness gracious.... Thanks for sharing that cpw and kkt.... Where does the sleeping and napping go??? ;) Again, this helps in appreciating what optometry students have to go through. Long days....Work hard during the weekdays and party on the weekends!!! Good luck you two!!!

My textbooks are starting to arrive in the mail. Neuroanatomy looks scawwwwy! :eek:
