I am actually going to be a dentist this may, but when I was considering optometry as a profession I applied about four years ago to Some US colleges. At my interview at one particular school, they asked me if I applied to Waterloo, and If I did I could not be accepted unless I withdrew my application. Has anyone else had this experience?
I don't really care now, but I thought it would be a good warning to anyone else considering going to the US.

Hi there!

I had friends apply to Suny, PCO, ICO, Ohio State as well as Waterloo.

I think the main issue is that many (correct me if I'm wrong) accept people on a rolling basis. Waterloo however doesn't let you know until July ....

So you can't accept an offer from a US school say in November, and hang on to that spot until July when you hear from Waterloo.

Recently though many of my friends said that all they had to do was put a deposit down to hold their spots in the US schools while they waited for Waterloo to get back to them. So my friends, once they heard they got in to Waterloo forfieted their deposits. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />
