" " "....I wonder if going to a school of small stature, like many DPT programs not associated w/ large schools, would limit the spectrum of learning that other higher tier programs might (?) offer. Any opinions would help to settle my concerns....Thanks in advance

most programs tend to be generalist "do whatever you want after graduation" kinds. Some programs offer certifications like manual therapy. Some are more research/science driven and others more application. Just check out the school for yourself.
