Please feel free to post below explaining your decision with pros and cons. 2007 Match 01-08-2007, 11:56 AM So, Georgetown takes an early lead! Reasons? Waiting4Ganong 02-04-2007, 06:55 AM Georgetown to me seemed like a solid, if unspectacular, medicine program well respected in the local area where graduates on the whole got the subspecialist training (maybe besides cards) in the field they wanted. Hopkins Bayview however seemed to match people in the field they wanted BUT also in the program they wanted. The top three destinations for graduates are Hopkins, Harvard and NIH. I don't think you can really compare the two programs. I'd only go to Georgetown over Hopkins Bayview if I HAD to be be in DC and was absolutely sure that I didn't want a high flying academic career. Just my 2c. 2007 Match 02-13-2007, 11:21 AM Can someone post the fellowship match list for Hopkins Bayview please? MISTERshortcoat 02-13-2007, 07:14 PM Hi all, I'm one of the Bayview interns this year. It's a great, warm environment to work in. We definitely earn our keep, and this is not a "cush" residency -- but the rewards are worth it. The guidance that we get is exceptional, both in career counseling and patient care. Here is our fellowship list for the last 5 years. Note that each year, we have around 14 categorical + GIM residents. I removed everyone's name from the list, but each entry is one person. If you have any questions about the program, feel free to msg me. I'll try to write back in a timely manner. I'm a sleepy intern, though, so it might be a few days. Hee he. Note that our campus now has its own renal and GI fellowships. The rest are shared between JHH and JHBMC.
