Congratulations Everyone.

I matched with Kaiser Permanente - Inland Empire PGY1 in California. It is actually 2 hospitals. I will be covering KP - Riverside and KP-Fontana about 650 beds total.

Are any of you curious at all how the other programs ranked you? :D

Honestly, I don't mind because I got my first choice. :)

I also matched with my first choice! I'll be at Kaiser Permanente - Santa Clara. I was drawn to it's strong ambulatory care focus. Are you also going to be doing a drug info rotation in Downey?

Come to think of it. I think the residency director did mention when I interviewed that I may be doing drug info at Downey. I think Kaiser has a call center there for Drug Info. Does that sound right?

Yeah, one of the reasons was definitely their strong ambulatory component. But also the director mentioned that if I was interested in any electives that they did not offer at a Kaiser facility that they would try to make arrangements at non-Kaiser places if necessary. For example, I mentioned that I liked my solid organ transplant rotation and they mentioned that if I was serious they could try to set me up with a rotation over at Loma Linda. How cool is that?

Hey, congratulations.

That's pretty cool. Congratulations to you too. I'm really excited about matching with Kaiser. I hope to work there after residency.
