If anyone is looking for some more summer programs in addition to the ones geared towards minorities, http://www.rit.edu/~gtfsbi/Symp/premed.htm has a pretty long list, the current issues of insidezout magazine has a list as well on www.insidezoutmag.com/InThisIssue.htm (http://www.insidezoutmag.com/InThisIssue.htm)
and another one is http://hpap.syr.edu/spstate.htm I think there's a pdf version you can print out. Most of the deadlines are towards the end of January and February so you have to move kinda quick.

BEST OF LUCK TO ALL OF YOU!!!!!! :luck:

Thanks for the great thread. Do you know if there are any of these research programs a MD graduate can get into, or is it only for Med students???? I am currently out of phase and thought maybe something like this would help my CV. Anybody's opinion would be great.

Take a look at NIH's pages. A couple of my classmates did some research at NIH while they were waiting for Step II scores to come in. They were not eligible for the Match because they were not going to graduate until December. Check out some of these: NIH Postdoctoral Training Programs (http://www.training.nih.gov/postdoctoral/) and this one, I know takes folks with an M.D./D.O. degree Pharmacology (http://www.nigms.nih.gov/Training/PRAT.htm). You can get some good experience and make some excellent contacts too.
