I was having trouble find the current issues regarding optometry.
Does anyone know a good site to find them?

So far I just found the dispute between Ophthalmologists and Optometrists (and direct access to ophthalmologists), new procedure approvals, and increased reimbursement...

The optometry section of this forum is a great place to find discussion on current issues facing optomtery.
There has been lots of heated discussion on that forum lately on the fact that high student debts have forced many recent grads into commercial optometry jobs at places like lenscrafters and walmart, rather than more 'respectable' private practice jobs. Another issue that has been raised is the possibility that there are too many grads and not enough private practice opportunities, and maybe that is also leading to the commercialization of opotometry.
