That should be a decent start to answer your questions as this isn't one of the busier forums and it might be a little while before people who can answer from experience jump in to help out.

For those of you who have not seen this (http://drslounge.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=411870) USMLE Steps123 is offering free access to their Qbank in exchange for helping them coorelate their scores with actual scores.

I would go with Swenson's Guide to Family Practice...it seemed to cover the majority of stuff on Step III, again taking into account that the exam, as in the prior two are completely random....

any coorelations with theactual exam and the practice 50q on the NBOME website? They seem to simple/ two lines and occassion with lab values??
