I noticed a lot of people do really well in the general chemistry section of the DAT. I feel this is the weakest area for me and want to prepare myself the best. I have the kaplan blue book but don't feel like I've learned much from it. I've looked over destroyer a couple times....are there any other resources that would be helpful? My friend told me gchem is intuitive....ehh is he a bunch of crap or am I thinking too much when I'm doing these calculations?!?!?! Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated...thank you!:)

I returned to my text for any concept that Kaplan covered inadequately. The acid/base chapter in the blue book is TERRIBLE. I strongly recommend finding another source for that. Good luck.

the destroyer should be fine to you only if you have strong fundamental chemistry, the author of this book has the assumption that his readers have a solid chem background. if you have difficulties with basic concepts in gchem (which is ok, not everybody are good in chem), go back to your original chem textbook and class notes before checking the destroyer. the destroyer is a very good book, but it is not a good starting point if you have difficulties with basic stuff.
GOOD LUCK !!!
