I'm particularly worried that the US governments ACCOUNTANT has been hitting the road for the past 2 years trying to warn the citizenry that the congress and executive aren't inclined to approach the problem.
When the baby boomers retire, which early retiree's begin this coming January, the Medicare system is in a state of serious jeopardy.

Is this the beginning of the end of the America as we know it?
I guess we'll know in 30 years, but in the meantime, how are patients and practitioners to survive?

good, they dump the whole medicare system down the toliet for all I care.

Too many 80+ year olds getting chemo to stay alive for another 45 days at the cost of 100K....

If they ratchet medicare down enough, hospitals will just opt out. It WILL collapse, no one is questioning that, its just a matter of timing now.

I've heard about that guy. He's considered somewhat of a nut in the beltway. No doubt, he has the numbers to back it up but he's got Chicken Little syndrome.
