Why are all the family doctors in my area D.O. ?? are there more D.O. family doctors then M.D. family doctors????
what are some schools that have good family physician programs???

There are fewer DOs in family practice than MDs simply because there are fewer DOs over all.
However, osteopathic schools emphasize primary care and also tend to attract more people interested in primary care. Because of these 2 things, a large percentage of DOs go into a primary care specialty.

Off the top of my head, University of Washington and University of Missouri-Columbia are two perennial top-three FP schools according to US News...
