I struggle the most in this part of the PAT section. I am just wondering if you guys have any tips on improving this part or any tips to do well on this part?

just mentally visualize the TOp, Bottom, Side silhouette (outlining) of the object and MAKE sure you stick to the acutally size of the object when looking for your answer..
a major drawback in this section of the PAT, ppl tend to compare the answer choice and work backwards. This will lead you to false answers b/c test-markers are best at it.
so, 1st draw a mental tfe outlining image, then eliminate choices, then compare the remaining and there is only ONE correct answer

btw, gimme some feedback on tfe section? i suck at those...any tips for those..

Obviously, do as many practice problems as you can and always look at where you went wrong. Then look and see where you often get caught up.

I wish I could put up a picture as an example, but I'll have to describe it in words. Often I would miss a keyhole was the correct shape, but was scaled wrong. This is usually a side view. So I say to myself, "That would be totally correct, except it is just too thin to be the side view." Etc. I ALWAYS second guessed myself and ALWAYS looked at all the choices. I wouldn't recommend doing so for the other sections of PAT, but on the keyholes, which seems the most difficult section to me, it was necessary.

As for angles and hole punch, I solved it visually and then found the correct answer. No second guessing.
