hey guys, i took my dat on the 30th...here are my scores, let me know what you think...cuz i screwed up the PAT and reading...
Orgo: 22
Bio: 20
GC: 20
QR: 17
RC: 16
PAT: 15
TS: 20
AA: 19
what to do?
do schools really abide by these strict "cut offs"? i really have no idea why i scored so low in the reading, there were just a lot of tone questions that were uncalled for. i was getting no lower than 20-21 on the practices. i applied to 20 schools (making sure i applied to the ones that accepted a good amount of out of state applicants), have excellent LORs, 3.35 overall, went to nyu undergrad, shadowing/volunteering exp.
Should I retake? And will it be too late by then? Any advice is appreciated :)

The only thing that REALLY hurts you is your RC. Fortunately, school don't seem to care at all about PAT scores so you're fine there. So your RC (in my opinion) will be the only section that you may run into problems with. On the other hand, you did excellent in the sciences and your AA/TS scores are accomplishments as well so I think you have a good shot. Good luck and if you hear back from schools that they suggest that you retake, just know that it is probably because of your RC (not so much your PAT). You did excellent on everything els so good job.

Your reading is not bad. Your PAT isn't good.

Is your AADSAS already out? If so, I guess it doesn't matter. I think it's probably getting too late to take it again in 90 days and expect to get in with higher scores. I think you either get in now with these (nice science scores, by the way) or you study and practice PAT, QR, and RC a bunch and retain your science and take it again later this winter.
