Getting confused with what Br is doing!

HBr + ROOR = anti markovnikov
HBr by itself = not anti
Br2 + hv = anti markovnikov...right? but sometimes i see it as markovnikov!!
doesn't this make Br radicals which then add anti fashion?

Br2 without hv...just Br= also adds anti

i keep seeing different things and just want to clear it up and set it right...what does Br and its forms do? when is it anti and when is it not?
