i get a new slitlamp lens,digital wide field,but i cant get that "wide field".what i see even is smaller than the classic 90D.why?
is anyone useing this lens?

I have that lens. It works well for me. It gets through small pupils as easily the 90 and for me it gets a better field of view. Slightly less magnification though. Overall I think it's a great lens. If you use it on a dilated pupil you can see WAY out to the periphery. Plus it's a cool electric blue color, which is obviously the best feature of all. I'm not sure what the problem is with yours - are you not close enough to the eye? The biggest problem with it is the working distance from the eye is really short.

it's really a cool lens,magic blue,i like it veery much.
my problem may be the working distance,but i find it's so hard to put the lens at the distance only 4mm from the cornea.
and if i put the lens at that distance,the lens will be dirty so easy.did you meet this problem?

Yes, I find myself cleaning the lens a lot. I just keep a lens cloth in my case and it's easy enough, although I can see why it might seem annoying.

and i even plan to buy a ultrasound cleaner,to clean the lens everyday,haha.:D

I've had the DWF since starting residency. I feel it is a much better lens than the 90D. Similar small pupil capability. Essentially the same mag (if you can discern a difference in 0.04x mag, you've better eyes than I). The greatest benefits are in the 50% greater field of view and the larger lens diameter, which allows a better stereoscopic view. These qualities combine to yield a great screening lens. I use it first on every patient, dilated or not. I can then use my Super 66 to hone in on ON abnormalities or subtle macular pathology. That's my take.
