View Full Version : Amsie's DAT Studying Method
Nik2012 08-14-2007, 07:42 PM I know this is a lame question, but have heard a lot about Amsie's "famous study method" from browsing SDN and I don't know who he/she is but .....I want to know what it is cause I want to follow it! :)
Anyone know? Is it just studying for long hours or... ??
Just thinking it couldn't hurt for me to try it since I only have 4 weeks left.
I'm curious!!

It entails 17 hours a day. Nonstop. Maniac style cramming.

All of Destroyer one day, all science notes the next. Back and forth. About a hundred times. With a side of PAT and QR. I'm so awesome:meanie:

Uh, the Princess portion of my statement was pure sarcasm. But mebbe your sarcasm detector is having an off-day.
So like, hit the scroll button and read my previous post. I took science notes in notebooks and read through all those in one day, and then re-did Destroyer the next day. And repeated this over and over for a few weeks, along with occasional 4AM PAT and QR practice.
firstcitizen 08-14-2007, 08:09 PM post amsies scores please
Nik2012 08-14-2007, 08:19 PM 6 exactly.
days or weeks? assuming days ..6 weeks would be not hardly likely.

I was being slightly facetious with my posts. But seriously, she studied for about 6 weeks for crazy.
search for 'amsie's destroyer review'
You'll get an idea of what she was doing.... honestly though, not for everyone. Very easy to burn out.... It's easier said then done.
She is a bit crazy is the rumor on sdn. ;):D
rose786 08-15-2007, 07:35 PM I'm kind of using a method inspired by Amsie. She wrote a post about how she kept diff. notebooks for each subject and reviewed them over and over. I thought this was a good idea, and now have 4 binders (for the sciences and QR) with notes & practice problems, which I try to review every 2 days or so. Repetition is the key
*Bows to the princess*
dentstd 08-15-2007, 08:20 PM ...and her study method entails the luxuries of a spiffy NYC crib paid for her parents! Can't go without that...and maybe even half-naked Egyptian guys feeding her grapes and fanning her dry.

Yeah, my parents bought me an apartment. Big freaking deal. As for the second part, I WISH:D
PS:rose786-the more times you can get through your study material, the better. Also write down eeeeeevery last problem you get wrong and the "why" behind the answer.
